Overarching Question: What is the difference between a living and non-living thing?

Animals and plants are living things that grow, reproduce, and need food, air, and water.

Humans are animals.

Many plants and animals closely resemble their parents in observed appearance.

People and other animals interact with the environment through their senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.

Animals and plants go through recognizable changes as the seasons change.
