Overarching Question: Why is water a precious resource?

The earth constantly moves water around its surface in a never-ending cycle.

Plants, animals and humans depend on the water cycle for survival.
There are three states of water: solid, liquid and gas.

Only a small amount of the earth's vast water supply is drinkable.
Water is a precious natural resource which needs conservation and protection.
